Responsibilities
* Assist in customer relations by maintaining excellent customer service at all times, including keeping up-to-date knowledge of store products.
* Identify selling opportunities and act on them.
* Maintain housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store according to Company standards.
* Control and merchandise stock to Company standards at all times.
* Assist with promotional setup.
* Ensure the premises are safe and secure at all times.
* Comply with Company regulations regarding cash handling and administration.
* Follow all health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with licensing and trading standards legislation.
* Perform any other duties relevant and related to the post.
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent.
Skills & Experience - Essential
* At least three months of previous experience in a retail environment.
* Effective communication skills with internal and external customers; good written, verbal, and listening skills.
* Customer-focused attitude, maintaining high-quality service and exceeding customer expectations.
* Ability to actively sell to customers.
* Personal drive with a positive, enthusiastic, and 'can do' attitude.
* Well-groomed appearance and good standard of dress.
* Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
* Interest and/or knowledge of wine.
* Previous experience in cash handling.
* Previous experience in stock handling and control.
