Job Description
A leading Chartered Accountancy practice based in Ashford is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Part Time Payroll Administrator to join their experienced payroll team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Dependent on experience and interest, there would also be the opportunity to get involved in bookkeeping work too, but this isn’t essential.
Our client is a great firm of chartered accountants, who have an excellent reputation and they're undergoing excellent growth.
Responsibilities:
* Manage client payrolls, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date
* Prepare and process RTI returns and other statutory submissions
* Calculate and process SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments
* Administer auto enrolment pension schemes and other third-party deductions
* Handle queries from clients and HMRC
* Prepare and present annual reports to clients
* Provide clients with accurate and timely payroll advice
* Opportunity to do ad hoc bookkeeping and VAT work, if you wish
Requirements
Part Time Payroll Administrator in Ashford
* Have a proven track record of ensuring attention to detail, and delivering a high standard of accuracy within tight timescales.
* Be proficient in the use of payroll software such as Sage, Xero, BrightPay etc. would be an advantage (but not essential)
* Be a team player with a professional, adaptable and positive approach.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly telephone manner.
* Maintain excellent levels of customer service to all clients and internal departments.
* Positive attitude and highly organised.
* Have commercial awareness and great time management.
* 3 or 4 days a week.

Requirements
This position will sit within a very experienced and large payroll team so you will be surrounded by fantastic support. Experience with practice/ bureau payroll software. You will be a technically proficient Payroll Administrator who has a minimum of 2 years or more experience in Payroll. You must have accountancy practice experience or payroll bureau experience.
