Role Overview
The Senior Operations Manager will lead the operational planning and execution of high-end catering events. This role will ensure seamless service delivery, upholding the company’s luxury standards, and driving efficiency across all operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will also work closely with cross-functional teams to manage resources, logistics, and client expectations to deliver a flawless event experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Event Operations Management
* Oversee the end-to-end operations for all large-scale and high-profile events, ensuring a premium client experience.
* Lead pre-event planning, site inspections, logistics, and post-event evaluations.
* Develop and implement detailed operational plans, ensuring alignment with client specifications, timelines, and budget.
* Team Leadership & Development
* Manage and mentor a team of operations managers, coordinators, and on-site staff, fostering a culture of excellence and attention to detail.
* Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to build a highly skilled operations team aligned with the company’s standards of luxury service.
* Quality Control & Client Satisfaction
* Oversee on-site quality control, ensuring that all aspects of the service, from presentation to guest interaction, meet the company’s luxury standards.
* Act as the point of contact for high-profile clients, addressing and resolving any issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
* Vendor & Supplier Relations
* Build and maintain relationships with premium vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable, top-quality products and services for events.
* Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to align with the company’s standards and expectations.
* Compliance & Safety
* Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
* Lead risk assessments and implement safety protocols to protect clients, guests, and staff.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in a senior operations or events management role, preferably within luxury catering or high-end hospitality in London.
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire a team to maintain luxury standards and exceed client expectations.
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple high-profile events simultaneously.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
* Solid financial acumen and budget management experience.
* Knowledge of London’s high-end event venues, vendors, and suppliers is an advantage.
* Flexible to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
