You will work with the endoscopy team to provide safe, effective and high-quality patient care maintaining standards that meet the requirements of JAG, the GRS, and the CQC.
We currently have three endoscopy rooms and undertake approximately 9000 procedures a year, which include upper and lower GI Endoscopy, ERCPs, EBUS, and Bronchoscopy. We have JAG accreditation and take part in the national bowel cancer screening programme.
You will be taking part in the newly formed Kent and Medway academic Hub.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team while utilizing your clinical expertise to provide holistic patient-centered care. You will be expected to focus on clinical leadership, actively supporting the Unit Manager in further developing the service and delivering a high standard of patient-focused care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a relevant teaching qualification or working towards one.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed, you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date, which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.
Following your Corporate Induction, you will be expected to attend the Trust's 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs, and Paramedics. The programme is full-time and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions, and e-learning.
Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children)
