Mechanical Engineer
Location: Based around Bristol
Salary: Starting at £45,000 per annum
Established in 1959, our client started out as a general engineering company before growing to consist of 6 divisions: Pumps, Controls and Automation, Flow Valves, Pumping Stations, Service and Agricultural and Environmental, each one providing single equipment solutions or complete liquid management systems.
The company now stands as an established designer, manufacturer, supplier, and installer of water and waste management equipment, with comprehensive after-sales support providing commissioning, servicing, maintenance, and emergency repairs to make the company a true one-stop shop.
The Role
Joining an exciting and fast-paced external team, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual working alongside an electrical site engineer, installing, commissioning, and servicing pumping and related equipment.
* Attend nationwide installation and breakdowns when necessary and ensure that T-T Pumps call out policy is maintained.
* Service, repair, and assembly of pumps and pumping equipment.
* Be prepared to stay away from home when required, at least 1-2 nights per week.
* When requested, be available on a rota basis to provide standby cover over weekends and bank holidays.
* Maintain company procedures and improve where possible.
* Complete site reports after each visit, obtain a customer signature, and submit promptly.
* Be a good ambassador for the company, promoting all products and services at every opportunity.
* Ensure that the company vehicle is stocked and that van-stock and tools required are available at all times.
* Identify training needs.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
* Mechanical qualification.
Desirable:
* Confined space training.
* First Aid.
* CSCS.
* SSSTS.
