Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to join their team on a short-term basis. Working on repairs in responsive and void properties.
Job Description:
1. This position is for a minimum of 3 months to assist the team in particular with Damp and Mould cases in line with Awaabs Law.

3. Carrying out pre and post inspections of repairs on both responsive and void properties, managing a patch covering the Durham area.
4. Ensuring high-quality work and that our customers are happy with the outcome.
5. Providing technical advice and support to our trades, maintenance managers, sub-contractors and suppliers so we deliver a high-quality, cost-effective and compliant service.
6. Contract management including progress against building works schedules. Utilising customer insight to support us in delivering on our customer promise.
7. Managing any disrepair cases and helping customers combat damp and mould issues in their homes.
8. Accurately measuring materials to enable a 'right first time' approach.
9. Ensuring void re-servicing is carried out to a high standard, enabling re-let as soon as possible.
Person Specification:
1. Building surveying experience including property condition and dilapidation surveys and specifying remedial works.
2. Hold a Building Surveying qualification HND, HNC or Degree Level.
3. Ideally hold RICS, CIOB professional registration or working towards this.
4. Current knowledge of building repairs, construction as well as CDM roles and responsibility.
5. Able to manage, control budgets and expenditure. A vehicle insured for business purposes.
6. Able to work unsupervised to manage your own patch, working commercially to deliver our programmes of work on time and to budget.
7. Job details working Monday to Friday, you'll shape your own diary around work, customers' and your own commitments.
8. This is a hybrid role, so you'll typically spend some days in our office in Durham, others working at home and the rest working in our properties in the North East area.
9. You must be able to use technology for updating records, budget and KPI management, completing online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.
10. You'll need a standard DBS check done or complete a DBS check before start date if accepted.
