Responsibilities:
* Work within the company budget
* Train staff on dish specification and budget control
* Manage kitchen stock
* Inspire and motivate the team to achieve food to specification
* Lead by example, setting standards
* Meet monthly with management to ensure dietary requirements are met
* Train and develop the team to deliver food to specification
* Cook food to a safe temperature and taste test before serving
* Ensure storage of food meets company and statutory health and safety requirements
* Deliver company kitchen standards
* Implement and ensure the company Health and Safety policy is met
The successful Head Chef will have relevant experience, a secure understanding of special dietary and nutritional requirements, Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene certificate, and a full understanding of H.A.C.C.P.
The Head Chef will possess excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
