Are you looking for a different type of care position? Less stress? More fun?
We are looking for a Carer for a young man living with his family at home. He is a happy, fun-loving young man with a cheeky sense of humour. He has learning difficulties and well-controlled epilepsy. He is non-verbal but does let you know what he wants.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors and doing something different every day to become part of a small team of 3 full-time carers.
A rough idea of his day is to get him up and into a quick bath, dressed, breakfast, and laundry on. Then an activity in the community e.g., walk, cycling, bowling, cinema, picnic, sometimes even the pub. Sort his lunch then continue with your plans for the day. Evening meal as a family then bath and ready to hand over.
Duties include: Activity planning, ensuring medicine is taken, minimal paperwork is required.
Driving is not essential as we are on the bus route.
Hours - 30 to 35 hours a week based on a set 3-week rota (so you know exactly what shifts you are doing forever). Shift hours are: 8 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 8 pm. More hours available to cover other carers' holidays.
We are looking for someone who is reliable and honest.
