Your new school
The Rawlett School is part of Lift Schools, a MAT of 57 schools with 10 in the Midlands. The Rawlett School is a secondary school led by a dedicated and ambitious Head of School, Beccie (Rebecca) Walker. Having worked for Lift since 2005, she has spent the last 13 years transforming the culture and teaching at The Rawlett. She has established a strong leadership team and is confident to gain a 'Good' Ofsted on the next inspection. We are looking to recruit a Teacher of Science who is ambitious and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
Your new role
The Science department is a team of nine led by an energetic and passionate head of department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who will challenge the status quo and contribute to continuously improving teaching standards. You will have the opportunity to be part of exciting extracurricular activities such as travelling to Iceland, The National Space Centre, and National Trust locations. We believe in giving all teachers the opportunity to be great and will support you both personally and professionally.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with strong subject knowledge in Science, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for the subject. You will have a successful track record of improving the education of pupils in a Secondary setting.
