Role: Security Architect – Senior Manager Location : London, Manchester, Bristol or Birmingham Clearance Requirements: UK security clearance to Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV). As a Security Architect – Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in some of the largest and most ambitious programmes dedicated to keeping the country secure. You will lead the design and implementation of technical security solutions, ensuring the protection of sensitive systems and data in critical government and public sector projects. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of technical security solutions to address business challenges and ensure security standards are met. Maintain and evolve security documentation, architecture patterns, and approaches for new technologies. Engage with technical security experts, such as Identity, Security Testing, and Privacy specialists, to provide end-to-end solutions. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior technical teams and non-technical decision-makers. Analyse and align security solutions with client policies, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Required Experience and Qualifications: Information Security qualification (or equivalent), e.g., CISSP. In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS). Proven experience as a Security Architect or in a similar role, with a track record of designing and implementing security controls and leading technical teams. Familiarity with architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or SABSA. Strong expertise in threat and risk modelling, network security, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms. Experience with security technologies like firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM systems, and vulnerability assessment tools. Knowledge of cloud security principles and practices (AWS, Azure, Google). Understanding of Government security requirements related to Defence and Security (e.g., Secure by Design, JSP 440).
