Consultant Old Age Liaison Psychiatry University Hospital Wishaw and University Hospital Monklands This is a Older Adult Liaison Psychiatry post, primarily based in University Hospital Wishaw and University Hospital Monklands, including other community hospitals in North Lanarkshire. The successful candidate would be joining an established and experience Older Adult Liaison team which provides input into the three Acute hospital sites and relevant offsite beds. Currently this comprises the clinical lead of the Liaison service Dr Rekha Hegde (0.5 WTE) based at University Hospital Hairmyres, 2.3 WTE Band 7 nurses, 0.5 WTE psychology and 1WTE secretary based at Wishaw. The candidate would provide clinical input primarily to the Wishaw and Monklands sites. The team are enthusiastic and have regular peer support, developmental and educational meetings. The team pride themselves on providing person centred care in the acute setting. If interested, there are additional opportunities for service development, teaching and training which will be supported.
