Description Grade UE07: £40,247 to £47,874 per annum College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences / College Office Full time: 35 hours per week Fixed term: for 6 months The Opportunity: The College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking an experienced Events Manager to manage the strategic planning and delivery of the prestigious University of Edinburgh Gifford Lecture Series. The post-holder will be expected to bring a proven track record of managing large-scale events within a complex organisation. Key responsibilities include overseeing event planning and resource management, building and maintaining relationships and regularly reporting on event performance. This post is full-time (35 hours per week) for a six month period (fixed term). We are open to part time or flexible working patterns in the lead up to the lecture series, which takes place across the first two weeks in May 2025. At this point, flexibility and a willingness to work evenings would be required. Your skills and attributes for success: Evidence of planning, delivering and evaluating a range of events. Ability to influence and communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Capable of resolving unforeseen problems, and working independently and to tight deadlines.
