Cosmetic Regulatory Manager - £60k
Globally renowned Beauty & Personal Care brand is looking for a highly qualified Cosmetic Regulatory Manager to ensure full regulatory compliance for both new and existing product lines across the UK, EU, and international markets.
In this hybrid role, the ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of global cosmetic product regulations and use this expertise to conduct thorough regulatory assessments, ensuring all products meet compliance standards. Additionally, they will stay ahead of evolving legislation that may impact future product compliance.
As the leader of our global regulatory function, the Cosmetic Regulatory Manager will be instrumental in developing and implementing regulatory processes and strategies, ensuring our products meet and exceed compliance requirements in diverse markets.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee all regulatory aspects of new and existing products, ensuring full compliance across cosmetics, home fragrances, and consumer commodities.
Provide expert regulatory guidance on product development and formulation, integrating compliance requirements throughout sourcing and production.
Stay informed of evolving global regulations, keeping stakeholders updated on potential business impacts and maintaining a proactive compliance strategy.
Develop and uphold regulatory procedures to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to compliance standards.
Foster strong relationships internally, cross-functionally, and externally to facilitate regulatory needs for both existing and new customers.
Enhance the technical regulatory expertise of the team, ensuring compliance in all markets.
Manage packaging requirements, ensuring all product labels comply with global cosmetic labelling regulations through the artwork approval process.
Oversee global product registration and notification, supporting Operations with product shipping queries and regulatory documentation.
Collaborate with trade bodies, technical organizations, and regulatory authorities to secure official documentation, certifications, and regulatory approvals.
Address and resolve inquiries or challenges from regulatory authorities in a timely manner.
Lead and manage a team of three direct reports, overseeing all aspects of team development and performance.
Contracted Work Hours/Style: 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working style, expected to be onsite minimum once per week. Min. 5 years’ experience. Managerial experience required: 3 Direct reports.
£60K + 7.5% STI bonus.
