Interim Manager, Email & Mobile Marketing
The Hilton Email + Mobile Marketing team uses customer and guest insights to evolve and deliver personalized experiences for our customers and guests. You will be the champion of possibility for our channel that will drive engagement and grow customer loyalty for all Hilton brands. We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious, technologist and innovative team member with a dream to think beyond the day-to-day and envision what could be. You will work on projects including creating and delivering personalized customer-centric communications and generate engagement through our multi-channel campaigns.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an Email + Mobile Marketing Manager to join our team for 6 months, to provide maternity cover. You will be an integral part of the global Email + Mobile Marketing team, collaborating with industry leading digital marketers on global campaigns using revolutionary technologies to transform our guests and customers experiences. You will also provide leadership for our Analyst/Snr Analyst level team members and contribute in implementing new journey campaigns, enhancing existing technologies and processes while also delivering insights to help improve our channel performance.
As the Manager in this role, your responsibilities will be:
* Ability to lead a global team with a balance of strength and passion.
* Design, manage and implement data points, API Posts (etc.), develop, target, track, test and deploy a multitude of personalized campaigns using our email service provider (ESP), Braze, at the same time.
* Identify, influence, design and creatively solution improvement of email design, process or technical challenges related to email projects. Where appropriate in partnership with our Capabilities / Business team counterparts.
* Identify problems and design process improvements for your team and the wider department. Communicate the problem and improvement design effectively using tools like Confluence and White Papers. Champion the change required to build lasting improvement through the team.
* Effectively manage project-level work from inception through to execution, with consistent communication across all levels.
* Ability to design and code within an email platform, with technologies including but not limited to HTML, CSS, Liquid.
* Demonstrate critical thinking and strong analytical skills with the ability to pragmatically balance time cost considerations against strict adherence to a strategy or process.
* Develop strong partnerships with outside vendors, internal constituents, other departments, to support open communication and ensure goals remain aligned.
* Execute the directives of the organization’s mission, goals, and objectives, as well as demonstrating self-motivation, open communication, and the ability to work in a group dynamic.
* Passionate about the email and hospitality industry.
* Affinity for learning about new technologies and solutions in an ever-changing digital and data landscape.
* Champion the “Customer-Centric” mindset in all discussions around business goals and objectives, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in the lens of customer-first thinking within the organization.
* Lead cross-channel improvement initiatives including template enhancement and process optimizations in an ongoing manner.
* Show ability to work both autonomously to execute campaigns on time and with quality, but also collaborate with team members to improve processes and support team culture.
* Ability to define and deliver a clear email development process that is adopted by the whole team which enforces best practice standards and robustness to our channel development activities.

What are we looking for?
* BA/BS Bachelor's Degree or comparable technical field, or work experience that demonstrates comparable technical abilities required.
* Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role.
* Proficient in at least two of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, Liquid.
* Skilled with email editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Figma etc.).
* Understanding of channel performance indicators.
* Proven ability to lead either direct reports or sideline partners.
* Strong presentation and communication skills.
* Beneficial working knowledge of GIT, Jira, SourceTree and Postman.
* Good Project Management skillset.
* Strong ability to prioritize and lead projects with unknown scope.
* Committed self-starter and accountable individual.
* High level of integrity and Ownership.
