We are looking to appoint a Cancer CNS Support Worker to work within the established Cancer Support Worker Team based within the Sunrise Centre. Candidates must have extensive administration, and organisational skills along with excellent communication and people skills, ideally with a good understanding of NHS healthcare systems and processes.
The post holder will also support the Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs) by providing a robust administration and support service, which will involve managing phone calls, coordinating pathways and appointments, requesting diagnostics, expediting imaging requests, requesting transport, completing STRATA referrals and assisting with CNS clinic management and in some cases supporting patient groups and forums alongside the CNSs. The post holder will also be expected to attended MDT's and support surveillance programs.
The successful candidate must possess excellent administration and communication skills, must be reliable, well organised and able to work as part of a team or independently. It is essential that the successful candidate is keen to learn new skills.
A two year fixed term posts working 37.5 hours per week
