This is the job
The role centres around managing in-life vehicle-related services for AA Driving Schools, which operates the largest driving school fleet in the UK. As part of this role, you’ll have full responsibility, accountability, and efficiency for delivering fleet-related services to customers.
Your responsibilities include overseeing in-life delivery and supply chain management to meet customer demand. This involves ensuring that our entire fleet remains operational and on the road through effective vehicle off-road management. You’ll manage this across the approximately 4,000 vehicles operated by the driving school.
You’ll be responsible for managing the in-life fleet costs and ensuring our fleet remains operational and compliant. Additionally, you’ll oversee the supply chains that support operational delivery, implementing effective supplier management principles.
Your role includes ensuring that in-life fleet routines for services delivered to the driving school are compliant, fit for purpose, and meet the demands of end-users. Providing a first-class service is essential to support franchisees, driving instructors, and the management team.
As a member of the Fleet team supporting the Driving School Senior Management Team (SMT), you play a crucial role in achieving the mission of becoming the go-to destination for everything our customers need to start driving with confidence.

* Technology Ownership: Owns technology integration within driving school vehicles (e.g., embedded or retro-fit systems).
* Process Refinement: Refines administrative processes related to mileage charges, parking fines, vehicle management, and SMR.
* Franchisee Management: Ensures every franchisee is managed in life from a fleet perspective in line with their franchise agreement.
