About the role: Creative Writing Tutor Activate Learning are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Creative Writing Tutor to join our Createch Faculty team. This part-time casual position involves teaching adult learners in our popular Learning for Leisure program. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, expertise, and a supportive teaching approach to inspire our diverse community of aspiring writers. The role will be based at our Oxford campus. Whether you are an experienced tutor or an individual that can confidentially deliver practical workshops then why not consider showcasing your skills by becoming a role model to a diverse group of learners from all ages, including adults and young learners who display a passion in creative arts. This is an opportunity to shape a new creative writing curriculum from the ground up and inspire a community of aspiring writers. We're expecting to run this course as a weekly two hour course in daytimes or evenings over 12 weeks from September. Travel will be required in this role, as you will predominately be working at City of Oxford College, but often times opportunities arise throughout our local community in Oxfordshire. What do you need to be a successful Creative Writing Learning for Leisure Tutor at Activate Learning? Ideally, you will hold a teacher’s qualification or have experience of teaching within an education setting, such as National Saturday Club, Schools, youth clubs. You will have extensive knowledge of the subject area and can engage and interact with students to ensure they are set up to succeed their end goals. You'll need to have a flexible mindset to connect with the communities you're teaching.
