Job Description: As a Payroll Accounts Officer, you will be the front-of-house representative for our finance department, handling a variety of tasks related to payroll, sales, and purchase ledger invoicing. Your primary responsibilities will include: Managing and processing monthly and weekly payroll Using Sage 50 software. Handling sales and purchase ledger invoicing. Providing excellent customer service to clients and colleagues. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Maintaining and updating financial records. Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes. Resolving any payroll-related queries and discrepancies, including checking staff timesheets and Subcontractor Invoices Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Posting Wage Journals Requirements: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy office environment. Proficiency in Sage software. Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a front-of-house role. Familiarity with sales and purchase ledger invoicing.
