Head of Reward
The Head of Reward is a key member of the HR Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Director of People & Learning. This is a strategic HR role responsible for a wide range of reward and benefits strategies and activities that support NI Water’s ambition to be a great place to work.
The post holder will develop and implement the Total Reward strategy and its associated programme of work. They will provide expertise, knowledge, and communications, maintaining positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including Trade Unions.
The post holder will provide robust and professional thought leadership to guide the strategic direction of NI Water's comprehensive pay and reward system, encompassing pay awards, grading, pensions, allowances, benefits, bonuses, performance, and recognition. They will develop best in class strategies that align with NI Water’s strategic objectives and values. The post holder will also ensure that reward and benefits strategies, policies, and reporting comply with NI Water’s governance and relevant governmental regulations, with a focus on equality and diversity

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
1. Possess a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline AND a minimum of three years’ successful senior management experience developing and leading significant people strategies in a large, multi-disciplinary organisation.
OR (in the absence of a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline)
Five years’ successful senior management experience developing and leading significant people strategies in a large, multi-disciplinary organisation.
2. Demonstrable senior leadership experience in the successful development and implementation of the full range of reward strategies, that support organisational performance, including pay, compensation, payroll, benefits and pensions strategies.
3. Demonstrable experience of leading and managing HR teams, including direction-setting and developing high-performing HR talent, build a strong professional HR team culture and ethos based on values.
4. Experience of relevant Stakeholder management including excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships within and external to the organisation.
5. Demonstrable experience of influencing and developing organisational people strategy at Executive level (Executive team and Board, or equivalent).
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

1. Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or Equivalent.
