* Location: Mansfield area (yes, your community)
* Qualifications: Teaching Assistant or equivalent – transferable experience is welcome.
* Age Range: KS1, KS2, KS3
* Type: Full-time, permanent

Why This Role?
As a Community Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working one-on-one with children who aren’t in mainstream education. These children need something different, and your job? To guide them through a learning journey tailored just for them. You’re not just teaching; you’re creating a space where they feel supported, understood, and – maybe for the first time – excited to learn.
Why This Matters
When children receive dedicated 1:1 support, it’s a game-changer. You’re not just helping them keep up – you’re helping them thrive. You’ll be the difference they need, the mentor they’ll remember.
Who We’re Looking For
We need someone who gets children. Not just “good with them,” but someone who can really connect, someone who brings energy, patience, and a little spark into every lesson. If you’re fun, proactive, and all about creating excitement around learning, this could be your perfect role.
About the Hubs
You may work in a specialist learning hub, a local library, or even a community centre, bringing much-needed 1:1 support right to the heart of where it’s needed. Whatever the environment, you’ll be at the centre of fostering a positive, encouraging space for learning. Here, every child gets the focus, patience, and guidance they deserve – and you’ll be the one to make that happen.
Why You’ll Love It Here
* Meaningful Work: You’ll provide hands-on, tailored teaching for children who find mainstream classrooms challenging.
* Personal Connection: You’ll work with a set group of 6-10 children, building real relationships and trust.
* Bespoke Lessons: Adapt core subjects to meet each child’s needs and pace.
* Professional Growth: After six months, you’re eligible for a fully funded Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification if you don’t already have it – and this qualifies you for a higher pay band.
* Flexible Pacing: No rushing; you’ll work at a pace that suits each child’s learning journey.
