The role:
* Maintain, control and promote good housekeeping and 5s principles within the company and department and take an active role in introducing and improving new systems of control on an ongoing basis.
* Comply with health and safety standards and follow procedures within the department, highlight associated issues and take an active role in improving issues highlighted and controlling once new systems have been implemented
* Assist and support die cast engineering with new product launch’s and assist in implementing new quality and operational documents and control once in full production
* Highly competent in training others in die cast machine start up checks and how to complete the paperwork neatly and accurately
* Highly competent in training others to carryout quality checks to the standards provided and complete the additional “blue rack check sign offs” on a daily basis

Essential Criteria:
* Third level qualification (degree, HND, HNC or equivalent) - Candidates with a lesser qualification, plus significant relevant experience will also be considered
* Product, process and quality knowledge in a die casting/ manufacturing environment
* Highly competent in training others to meet operation standards
* Demonstrated commitment to HSE, housekeeping and 5S principles
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
* Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills
* Adaptable and flexible
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to motivate and encourage others
* Good analytical, problem solving, planning and organizing skills
* Results focused, with ability to work on own initiative
* IT skills, including Microsoft office
