1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant who is looking to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs?
We are currently seeking a passionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work in the Rawtenstall area.
Location: Rawtenstall, Lancashire.
Pay: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour.
Full-time Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 15:30pm
Responsibilities:
* Build strong relationships with children and their families, through a nurturing approach.
* Be approachable and have regular contact with the child’s family.
* Provide a safe and inclusive environment so that the pupil can achieve their full potential.
* Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other professionals such as SENCO, educational psychologists, speech and language therapists. Then be able to implement suggested strategies.
* Recognise and identify gaps in children’s learning and communicate this with the class teacher so that interventions can be planned and delivered.
* Have a calm and consistent approach so that the pupil can have a clear school routine.
* Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a passion for education
* Promote the inclusive school ethos each day.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children who have additional needs.
* Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* An understanding of the National Curriculum.
* An enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
* The highest commitment to safeguarding and ensuring the safety of pupils.
* Enhanced DBS certificate.
* Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
