An exciting opportunity has arisen as part of the Family Hub development within County Durham to join a team of Family Peer Supporters. This post will cover the North of County Durham. The role is NHS Band 3 with a permanent contract.
The post holder will provide a high standard of information and support to children and their families in a range of settings (home, communities, Family Hubs, and groups, etc.). The post holder, following appropriate training, will work with appropriate supervision to undertake a range of tasks and group delivery. The role will provide low-level parenting support through home learning, supporting child development, speech and language, child accident prevention, and school readiness. Providing person-centred approaches, empowering families, and building confidence.
