Management Accountant – Cake Decor
The Management Accountant role interfaces with key contacts across the business with a reporting line into the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the production of management accounts on a monthly basis and leading the month-end process with the support of a small yet established finance team.
The position of Management Accountant within Cake Décor will suit an individual with a strong sense of business and strong levels of commerciality. You will have experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments previously and will possess your full accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) or deem yourself Qualified by Experience.
Responsibilities
1. Production of monthly management accounts and presenting to the Senior Management Team.
2. Involvement in Group reporting.
3. Variance analysis and ad-hoc financial reporting.
4. Closing the month-end for the Cumbernauld site.
5. Support business decision-making through the provision of first-class financial information.
6. Oversee transactional finance, ensuring that deadlines are met.
7. Maximising efficiencies within the finance department.
8. Budgeting and forecasting for the business.
9. Balance sheet reconciliations and overseeing the bank.
10. VAT returns and intrastat reporting.
Person Specification
1. Fully Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience.
2. Prior experience working within a fast-paced, commercial environment.
3. Previous experience working as a Management Accountant.
4. Strong user of financial systems.
5. Confident self-starter with the ability to influence across the business.
6. Strong communicator who can communicate financial information to non-financial people.
