Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Technicians: Prepare, maintain, and organise tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons. Ensure a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Provide technical support to teachers during practical sessions and demonstrations. Assist students with their projects by offering guidance and ensuring the proper use of equipment. Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on equipment. Manage stock levels and order materials as needed. Requirements of the Design & Technology Technicians: Experience or qualifications in a relevant technical, engineering, or design field (preferred). Practical skills in using tools and equipment commonly found in a Design and Technology workshop. Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a school or workshop environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
