Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Harlow, Essex. The position offers a flexible work schedule of 4 to 5 days per week, with negotiable shift times. Accommodation is available if needed. Participation in out-of-hours (OOH) duties would be welcomed, but it is not a requirement for the role. Location: Harlow, Essex (commutable from Hertfordshire) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Work Schedule: 4 to 5 days per week (negotiable) Shift Times: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Accommodation: Available if required Out-of-Hours (OOH): Participation welcomed but not mandatory Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat a wide range of small animal cases, including both routine and emergency work. Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required. Provide clear communication and compassionate care to clients and patients. Work closely with the veterinary team to maintain high standards of care and professionalism. Participate in out-of-hours duties, if willing, to assist with emergency cases. Qualifications and Skills: Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Strong clinical skills in both medicine and surgery. Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to contribute to OOH shifts is a plus, but not required.
