About the Role We are seeking a Vascular Surgeon to join our Vascular Team here at Waikato Hospital. The Vascular Department is an integral service based at Waikato Hospital. It provides tertiary services for the Te Manawa Taki regional population of over 1,000,000. This is an expanding service with excellent regional networks. The department currently has 5 surgeons performing the full range of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. The role may require occasional visits to regional hospitals within the Te Manawa Taki Region. There is a well-staffed Vascular Ultrasound lab, and a fully equipped Endovascular Hybrid Theatre at Waikato Hospital. The department is RACS Vascular Surgery accredited and has 2 senior trainees. We also have 3 junior registrars and 2 house surgeons. The department is affiliated with the University of Auckland with a strong interest in research and clinical trials. About the Team/Service/ Location The successful applicant will join a well-established, dynamic team of 5 SMOs supported by a strong multi disciplinary team. About you have completed FRACS (Vascular) or equivalent qualification have expertise and experience in Vascular Ultrasound have demonstrated leadership ability.
