Description
Industry-leading intellectual property platform World Trademark Review (WTR) is on the search for a proactive and assured Senior Reporter to generate high-value content for its senior business and legal audience.
The Senior Reporter will be responsible for developing a network of contacts and writing regular original news and analysis content for a readership of professionals tasked with the creation, management and protection of strong brands.
This is a fantastic role for an independent and motivated journalist who can adapt to a variety of content sets, including long-form articles, opinions, data-driven analysis and breaking news, on a beat which cuts across legal, economic, political and business sectors.
Working as part of a small but highly collaborative international editorial team and reporting to WTR's Editor, the Senior Reporter role offers an opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and encouraging environment that takes personal and professional growth seriously.
Key Responsibilities
* Writing complex and high-value news and analysis for the WTR audience.
* Proactively engaging with the market to become a trusted contact for senior industry figures, developing a strong network of sources to help develop credible original content.
* Helping to compile and examine industry data to provide analytical insight. Representing the brand and reporting on events, digitally, locally or internationally, in a timely, accurate and balanced way.
* Working with the WTR reporter team and other internal stakeholders to contribute to substantial editorial projects.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in covering a specialist beat.
* A team-oriented and collaborative outlook.
* Ability to network and build a contacts book.
* A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.
* Knowledge of, or interest in, the trademark/intellectual property industry.
