Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Chorley Job Type: Temporary, expected to work full-time hours Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour Job Description: Job Duties: Supporting the KS2 teachers in delivering high-quality education to primary school students Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment Working with individual students or small groups to provide additional support with classwork Helping to prepare teaching materials and resources Supervising students during break times and outings Assisting with record-keeping and administrative tasks as required Required Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) Experience working with children in an educational setting Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education: A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications) is required for this role. Experience: Prior experience working with children in an educational environment is essential. Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of primary education curriculum and teaching methods Ability to engage and motivate primary school students Basic IT skills for record-keeping and resource preparation Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification First Aid certification Working Conditions: This is a temporary position based in a primary school in Chorley, Lancashire. The role is full-time, and the successful candidate will work during regular school hours. The environment may be busy and require flexibility in tasks to support the teaching staff.
