Reporting to the Customer Service Team Leader, the Customer Service Advisor will be responsible for providing excellent customer service support and query resolution to customers, acting as the main point of process management around Order to Cash, after Sales Support and other associated services.
The role
* Demonstrates awareness of H & S requirements for self, Department and Site. Proactively engages in promoting a H & S culture.
* Log and register incoming call activity to defined process.
* Receive and accurately process customer order & query information by EDI, telephone, e-mail or other defined methods. Have a willingness to help customers & present solutions to expedite order & delivery issues.
* Expedite delivery query items logged by Customer Service Contact team in line with defined process & within prescribed timelines.
* Escalate issues via team lead or management team where necessary to meet expectations of customer.
* Ensure customer expectations are exceeded, consistently delivering a dependable and accurate service. Manage third party suppliers and stock availability/deliveries.
* Proactive communication to advise Customer Service Contact Team & customers of potential availability and delivery issues. Ensure the customer is fully enlightened and informed with all the details.
* Ensure consistency in your approach and ways of working when dealing with customers. Accountability for effective and knowledgeable behaviours.
* Establish and maintain relevant open lines of communication across the business and with field-based Sales & Technical teams. Daily contact with Transport and Distribution arranging alternative vehicle requests may also be required.
* Proactively suggest improvements to further enhance best practice and service delivery.
* Contribute to positive team spirit within the department.
The profile
* Basic IT skills – Microsoft Office.
* Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
* Good communication skills both internally and externally.
* Familiarity with Wavin products and customer base.
* Experience of working as part of a team, within a busy call center or customer service office environment.
* Experience of meeting KPIs and working to monthly deadlines.
* SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
