One of our successful and supportive FE Colleges in the Channel Islands is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Maths Lecturer to join them this term, to teach GCSE and Functional Skills.
As a GCSE and Functional Skills Maths Lecturer, you will undertake an important role at the College, which is committed to providing exceptional education and a nurturing environment for students across a wide range of exciting courses.
You will be responsible for planning and providing high quality teaching within the Programme Area of English and Maths, which delivers discrete courses from Entry Level to Level 2 as part of Student Support Services. You will also take shared responsibility for the administration of the range of courses and levels delivered within the Maths provision, whilst providing support to vocational lecturers for embedding Functional Skills within their own lessons.
An experienced and qualified teacher, you will need a degree or Level 5 qualification. A Level 3 qualification in Maths is essential if your degree is unrelated to this subject. Strong communication skills and recent experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths is essential. Experience teaching foundation learning /SEMH/Level 1 is also highly beneficial.
This full-time Maths Lecturer role is available immediately, until the end of the Spring term.
Skills and requirements:
Level 5 teaching qualification or QTLS
Right to work in the UK
DBS on the update service, or willing to apply
Recent experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths
