We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Specialist Neurodevelopmental Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Maidstone or Gravesend.
You will work as part of a close-knit team who are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of people in Gravesend or Maidstone with a diverse patient group with complex needs.
To facilitate the assessment and management of children and young people referred for assessment: ensuring the quality of care provision using Trust policies and guidelines and care pathways.
To support service innovation and evaluations.
To regularly evaluate the service provided for children/young people whose lives are affected by neuro-developmental disorders, advising of changes to the delivery of care if they are needed.
To develop resources that could/can be used in the deliverance of the service.
To provide support, education and advice to children with neuro-developmental disorders and their families, carers, health and education and other agencies, CAMHS, Social Services and other professionals.
To provide and integrated service working closely with the paediatricians and other neurodevelopmental nurses and liaising with CAMHS in selected cases.
To improve knowledge and management of neurodevelopmental conditions.
To work within the National Service Framework for Children and Adolescents.
To work within Trust operational policies as part of the multidisciplinary Community Paediatric Team and participate in the development of services for children.
