Science Teacher – Full-Time – September Start – Levenshulme, Manchester
Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and passionate Science Teacher for a full-time role at a successful and diverse secondary school in Levenshulme, Manchester. This Ofsted-rated 'Good' school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. The position is set to begin in September to cover a long-term absence. Pay will be in line with your scale, depending on experience.
Role Overview:
* Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics – specialism welcomed)
* Use assessment data to monitor and support pupil progress effectively
* Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour in the classroom
* Contribute to departmental planning, assessment, and enrichment opportunities
* Work collaboratively within a well-resourced and supportive Science department
* Inspire curiosity and critical thinking in students, promoting a love for science
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
* Be confident in delivering lessons across all three sciences or with a strong subject specialism
* Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education
* Possess strong behaviour management and organisational skills
* Be a team player with a proactive approach to teaching and learning
