Our manufacturing facility is dedicated to producing a wide range of allergen-free food products, including gluten free breads, pizzas, allergy free sauces & allergy free cheese. Good Its Gluten Free products can be found in retailers such as Asda, Morrisons and Tesco. We have an exclusive partnership with Quorn Pro meaning our pizzas are in a host of UK schools & education sectors. Opportunity Reporting to head of operations & NPD. A dual role responsible for factory production cooking and packing of sauces, pastes and ingredients in addition to NPD recipe development and scale up.You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of this production schedule and developing new products, both branded and private label, as we grow from start up to an established FMCG brand. Responsibilities Weigh out, cook and pack sauces, pastes and ingredient recipes checking all batches for quality and consistency in a factory environment Complete production paperwork accurately and on time Identify and find solutions to any ingredient or recipe challenges Maintain the BRC standards of the production area Support the NPD Manager with creating new concepts, products and recipes suitable for a top 14 allergen free diet Develop recipes that incorporate food trends, that taste great, are nutritionally balanced, commercially viable and meet the customers needs Scale these recipes to a factory environment in production trials Prepare samples for customers when required Qualifications and experience Culinary training and/or commercial kitchen experience Experience working in a busy food factory environment desirable Experience developing recipes to strict criteria Ability to work independently using initiative and also as part of a team Ability to follow recipes and procedures but also challenge any issues Comfortable creating new recipes in a kitchen environment Knowledge of a variety of global cuisines and modern food trends Be able to translate recipes into scalable factory produced products Be aware of the technical requirements of recipe development including allergens, food safety and shelf life Be able to work at pace Personal attributes Have a positive, can-do attitude which is essential in our fast growing business. Focused, well organised and able to prioritise key activities to meet deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail a must. Team player with the ability to communicate with the wider team.
