Job Title: Contracts Manager

Overview:
A growing organisation in the construction/manufacturing sector is seeking a proactive and experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the full life cycle of project contracts—from post-sale handover through to final completion. This is a key role requiring a detail-oriented individual with strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:

Take full ownership of contracts post-sale handover.
*
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
*
Monitor and manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
Procurement:
*
Oversee procurement of materials and subcontracted services.
*
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
*
Ensure materials meet all project requirements and specifications.
Design Coordination:
*
Collaborate with design teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
*
Review and approve technical drawings and specifications.
*
Address and resolve any design-related issues.
Client Liaison:
*
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project.
*
Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear communication.
*
Address queries and provide regular updates on project status.
Health and Safety:
*
Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations.
*
Develop site-specific safety plans and conduct regular inspections.
*
Promote a safe working environment across all sites.
Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS):

Create, review, and communicate RAMS to ensure compliance and understanding.
*
Monitor on-site implementation of safety measures.
Documentation:

Maintain clear and accurate records including contracts, drawings, specifications, and correspondence.

Ensure documentation is properly organized and stored.
Qualifications and Experience:
*
Proven experience in a similar role within construction or manufacturing (experience with steel doors, fire-rated products, or similar is advantageous).
*
Strong knowledge of contract law, construction processes, and procurement.
*
Proficient in project management tools/software.
*
Familiarity with health and safety legislation and practices.
*
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
*
Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related discipline (degree, HND, or equivalent).
*
CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS certification is desirable.
