Job Details
Are you passionate about talent management, resourcing and workforce planning? Do you want to be part of a new talent management team which will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce.
The new team is focussed on the employee life cycle, and has responsibility for strategic workforce planning, recruitment and retention, resourcing strategies and support (including managing the Workforce Youth Investment Fund), developing the young workforce, further developing progressive recruitment strategies, onboarding, protection and registration, succession planning, use of agency workers and redeployment. The team will focus on evidence led talent management strategies which are supported by effective data and insight.
The Person
1. As a Lead Officer you will lead and deliver on complex projects/areas of work such as resourcing or strategic workforce planning and have responsibility for a small team.
2. You will be educated to degree level and have membership of a relevant professional institute.
3. It is essential that you have a successful track record of delivering talent management activities including resourcing and strategic workforce planning, within a wider organisational context, along with extensive knowledge, skills and experience within this area.
4. You will also have experience of inspiring team members and colleagues to achieve results.
5. Effective communication skills both verbal and written, are required along with the ability to influence and challenge.
6. The capacity to use these skills to work collaboratively and create strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally is also essential.
7. Excellent digital, data and analytical skills are essential along with experience of applying evidence led people solutions.
8. A knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation is also required along with the ability to implement associated changes.
9. Finally, with a commitment to self-development and a focus on emerging trends, we are looking for self-starters who are passionate about talent management and making a difference.
We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
