Purpose of Role
We are recruiting for a Mobile Reactive Electrician to carry out electrical maintenance repairs on Avanti West Coast train stations and related buildings in Crewe, Macclesfield & Stockport.
Job Description
We provide a planned, preventative, and responsive repair service to ensure our clients’ facilities are maintained to an excellent standard. You would be responsible for undertaking electrical maintenance and repair works on various train stations, rail-related offices and platform buildings. Works could include fault finding, emergency lighting tests, fuse board inspections, repairs to sockets and switches, PAT testing, rewiring, and general electrical compliance. The successful candidate must have a UK driver’s license with no drink driving offences and be happy working on a mobile basis – they will primarily be based in Crewe or Rugby however would be expected to travel further afield as part of a mobile in-house team.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake electrical maintenance and repair works.
2. Conduct fault finding and emergency lighting tests.
3. Inspect fuse boards and repair sockets and switches.
4. Perform PAT testing and rewiring.
5. Ensure compliance with electrical standards.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
* Proven commercial electrical experience.
* Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to go through the process before starting).
* Full UK Driver’s License (no more than 6 points).
