£26,038 to £27,344 per annum pro rata, £15,622 to £16,406 per annum
About this role
We are currently seeking a versatile, flexible post holder with previous compliance experience to join our supportive and friendly Estate Management Team to coordinate and advise on a range of compliance services across our University sites. This “hands on” role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of Estate Management legal compliance activities in connection with statutory testing, including but not limited to: fire alarms, emergency lighting, security alarms. The work will include daily testing and recording of systems and assisting with fire safety, where appropriate. You must be proactive, well organised and accurate with a customer focused, helpful and flexible approach to work. The role requires some work outside of office hours to undertake mandatory testing.
About you
You will have a good general education, and extensive knowledge of safety and compliance issues in the workplace including knowledge of safety and fire detection systems. You will be able to demonstrate a high standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to build relationships. You will need to be approachable, adaptable and conscientious. Previous experience is essential, ideally within a similar environment, as is the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage and prioritise workload.
