As the Registered Manager, you will have responsibility for running all aspects of its operation. That means not only ensuring it's commercial success, but more importantly ensuring quality of care for our residents providing both clinical excellence and a compassionate, nurturing environment. About You:
* Have knowledge of CQC standards & other relevant legislation.
* Have experience of managing a Care Home
* Must have a strong understanding and proven track record of care service and delivery within a care home
* Possess (QCF Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Have previous experience working with the elderly and those with dementia.
* Be an effective communicator and proactive team player.
* Have ability to work at both strategic and operational level to ensure continuing growth and profitability.
* Have great organisational ability, together with good IT, administrative, literacy and numeracy skills.

Duties:
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all external parties that work close within the Company i.e., safeguarding, council bodies.
* Liaise with the Area Manager and ensure that all necessary report is sent timeously.
* To provide leadership to the administration, care and nursing, catering, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance & people management functions of Wood Care Group.
* To carry out and provide leadership in marketing the service and selling its services at the agrees prices, ensuring that contracts are in place.
* To maintain the operations of Wood Care Group at the standard agreed with the directors, within the financial budgets set.
* Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support. Ensuring care plans are up to date and all needs are met as required.
* To attend at least 1 night visit per quarter, or as per business needs.
Working with Others:
* Recruitment of staff
* Induct new starters in accordance with Wood Care Group policy
* Lead, motivate and direct staff
* Conduct staff supervision and annual staff appraisals for all heads of department
* Develop staff to full potential ensuring succession planning.
* Ensure multidisciplinary team working is embedded in the service.
