What you’ll be doing
1. Develop and implement lifting plans and procedures for various construction projects.
2. Establish, implement and provide guidance, training and management in best practice Lifting matters.
3. Conduct risk assessments and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place for lifting activities, in compliance with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and OSHA regulations.
4. Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and crane operators to schedule lifting operations in accordance with project timelines.
5. Manage and provide improvements for blu-3 Lifting process.
6. Inspect lifting equipment regularly and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and certified, meeting the requirements of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER).
7. Work with and support site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Construction HSE, lifting Plans. Manage & provide support to Project teams in the development of these Plans.
8. Develop and implement Lifting campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with Management.
9. Ensure management controls are in place so that all personnel are aware of their statutory and local jurisdiction duties and responsibilities, and to provide guidance as and when required.
10. Carry out regular inspections/audits of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Processes and the relevant Statutory Provisions.
11. Support in accident/incident investigations in accordance with the Company process and, analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences.
12. Liaise with external stakeholders such as regulatory authorities, contractors, and suppliers as needed, ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
13. Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices related to lifting operations, including updates to HSE regulations.
14. Drive lifting best practices, standards and assist in the development of new standards.
15. Positively promote the blu-3 Vision, Mission & Values.
16. Undertake any reasonable duties expected of you.
17. Attend and engage fully in any learning and development activities that are deemed appropriate by your line management.
18. Carry out all work in accordance with HSE and any other legal & local requirements.
19. Participate and engage fully in company appraisal / performance review processes and constantly work to improve your individual, team and the wider team’s performance.
20. Confidential when dealing with sensitive matters and an understanding of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

What we’re looking for
1. Recognised certificate / diploma.
2. A61 Appointed Person Blue Card minimum 5 Years experience.
3. Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on lifting operations.
4. In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including UK HSE regulations, LOLER, and other applicable legislation.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
8. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and other software.
9. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
10. Excellent presentation, persuasiveness and negotiating skills.
11. Train the trainer or equivalent qualification.
