We have a great opportunity for a Female Support Worker to work with a young lady who was injured following a road traffic accident in February 2021. She suffered extensive injuries including a brain injury and multiple orthopaedic injuries. Our client continues to experience physical, cognitive, and psychological difficulties as a result of her injuries. She has a mild right sided weakness and problems with fatigue, motivation, concentration, impulsivity, disinhibition, memory and information processing. She has also reported symptoms of low mood and anxiety. She lives at home with her mother and is currently receiving support from a senior team leader and rehabilitation from a team of professionals. Previous experience and full driving licence are essential. Degree in Psychology or equivalent degree is desirable. An NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in care and competent IT skills are desirable. This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS. You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service. Interviews MAY be held via Zoom/Teams/other such teleconferencing tools, therefore candidates MUST HAVE the ability to attend interview via these methods. You will have a positive interest in active rehabilitation and a desire to enable this person to reach her full potential. You will be female (Due to the occupational nature of the role. You are a person with great communication skills especially with the client, her family and other professionals involved. You will have a DBS on the update service or will complete an enhanced DBS if successful. Initial DBS check paid for by us.
