Base Pay Range
A rapidly scaling UK based Private Equity firm is looking to add to its Finance & Operations team, with the addition of a new Senior Fund Accountant / Fund Controller. This is a growth hire linked to a recent fund raise, necessitating the expansion of the team.
The new Senior Fund Accountant will jointly have accounting and oversight for all the Fund and Co-investment vehicles (currently >30 active) alongside the Team’s existing Fund Accountants, working closely with the Fund Administrators in helping to ensure all Financial Statements, Investor Reporting and Capital Accounts are delivered accurately and on time. In addition, the new Senior Fund Accountant will work closely with the Investment and Legal teams on new acquisitions and exits and have opportunities to assist on all aspects of deal structuring.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the production of Quarterly Investor Reports and Statutory Financial Statements for Fund and Co-investment vehicles.
* Oversee the Fund Accounting work performed by the Fund Administrators and Fund accountant.
* Take responsibility for preparing and reviewing investor capital calls and distributions.
* Review and enhance cashflow projections for the main Funds, alongside management of the Funds bridge facilities.
* Assist the Financial Controller in managing the Year End Audit process for Fund entities.
* Take the lead in reviewing the Quarterly Portfolio Company valuations for a subset of portfolio companies, supported by the Financial Controller.
* Assist the Financial Controller in monitoring Portfolio Company structures.
* Manage, develop and implement best practices within the Fund Accounting team, ensuring that processes and controls are effective and up to date.
Your Background:
* Fully qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent - with exposure to alternatives, ie: private equity, venture capital, credit, infrastructure, real estate PE or similar.
* Excellent academics and degree educated or equivalent.
* Ideally around 3 to 5 years experience PQE from a fund, service provider or Audit.
* Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and proven track record at managing several workflows at once.
* A proactive, hands-on attitude with the ability to lead projects to completion.
* Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
* Ability to develop strong relationships with External Advisers, Auditors and Administrators.
* Previous exposure to multi-currency parallel partnership structures and/or credit funds would be beneficial.
Salary on offer is in the region of £80-100k base (DOE) plus bonus and benefits.
UK experience essential and Visa sponsorship may be on offer IF you meet the above criteria AND have relevant UK fund accounting experience in alternatives.
