Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious Marketing Communications Assistant who is willing to learn about the marketing industry to provide administrative support to our Marketing and Communications team. You will be responsible for creating and editing marketing collaterals, coordinating materials for events and documenting marketing data for our communications projects.
Our ideal candidate is process-driven with a keen eye for detail. You must have strong writing, editing, and research skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple projects is a must. You should have an understanding of communications practices and digital marketing strategies. Candidates with prior experience in a Communications role will be given preference.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist with the implementation of marketing plans to promote our products and services.
2. With the use of design templates, make updates to existing and new materials and content using InDesign or Canva and manage storage and version control.
3. Assist with the broader development of visual and written marketing materials while following brand guidelines.
4. Assist with the management and execution of email marketing campaigns including database building.
5. Research sector-specific upcoming events and trade shows to create recommendations and activity calendars.
6. Manage and execute the marketing activities calendars for each of our core customers.
7. Assist with the development of case studies.
8. Assist with the coordination and management of webinars.
9. Assist with the management and creation of content (including video if possible) for social media and monitor responses.
10. Analyse data to measure campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies.
11. Manage packaging design updates.
12. Update website and customer online portals in line with calendars.
13. Research and stay current on market trends and competitor activity.
14. Assist in the planning and execution of events, including tradeshows and product launches.
15. Attend and support at photoshoots and events, gaining feedback and customer insights.
16. Provide administrative support such as internal communications, raising purchase requisitions and taking minutes and actions at meetings, providing customers with brand assets and managing events materials.
17. Assist in the execution of any internal communications initiatives including interior décor.
18. Assist with the organisation of digital events and webinars.
Requirements:
1. Excellent written, proofreading, and editing skills.
2. 2+ years of experience in Marketing Communications or a similar role.
3. Strong grasp of social media analytics and media monitoring.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
5. Some experience and knowledge of design software (InDesign, Canva).
6. Knowledge of photo editing software (Photoshop, Canva, or similar).
7. Basic understanding of CMS; preferably WordPress.
8. Experience with email marketing tools (Klaviyo, MailChimp, etc.) a plus.
Part-time role based on 20-30 hours per week.
