We have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of Europe’s leading suppliers to the food and beverage manufacturing, food service and retail sectors!
Due to growth, they are hiring a Junior Sales Manager to join their existing team! This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen interest in food and good commercial acumen to join a well-established, successful sales team.
Your Main Responsibilities:
1. Sell to existing customers the range of products and continually develop new customer contacts and new business.
2. Develop relationships (from a supply perspective) with new and key principals and gain detailed product knowledge of all key suppliers and their capabilities.
3. Liaise with other divisions within the group and where possible supply and sell.
4. To physically visit UK-based customers and utilise video conferencing where face-to-face visits are not possible.
5. Facilitate the communication process between supplier and customer.
6. Keeping up to date with trends in the food and drinks industry, market developments, legislation, import, health and other related trends.
7. Be fully aware of the technicalities and pitfalls of importing goods from outside of the UK, into the UK.
8. Assisting and arranging samples, taking to customers, NPD/buying depts.
9. Issue, make, and amend supply and purchase contracts. Where necessary, book Foreign Currency for transactions.
10. Chase the progress of samples sent to customers and to gain feedback from suppliers.
