We currently have an opportunity for a Cleaner to join our team. This is a zero hours position working flexible hours. The shifts start from 5am to 9am, Monday to Sunday. The hourly rate is £12.04.
This role will be responsible for cleaning the designated commercial areas in our Non-Residential building. The role may also support with cleaning our student accommodation including bedrooms, bathrooms, shower rooms, and kitchens. This will include:
* Cleaning Non-Residential spaces including bar, venue, café, offices, gym, and sports hall.
* Vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing carpets, sweeping and polishing floors, and cleaning stairs.
* Washing walls, doors, furniture, radiators, and lampshades as appropriate.
* Emptying waste bins and removing rubbish from flats to bin store areas.
* During the summer season only: Making beds, including stripping and changing sheeting, collection of laundered linen from store, bagging and packing laundry for collection.
* Cleaning internal and external windows, where applicable.
* Cleaning and washing glasses, cutlery, and cooking utensils, as appropriate.
* Daily liaison with the residents, Residence Managers, and associated UPP staff.
* Acting in accordance with all Health & Safety policies and practices at all times.

We are looking for you to already have experience of cleaning in a similar environment and have great communication and organization skills, along with attention to detail and the passion to do an excellent job.
You will need to have a good conversational standard of the English language and an ability to read and interpret our Health & Safety guidance. You will also be prepared to work (with notice) at other sites if required and additional hours when the need arises, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
