Who You Are You are a focused and dynamic planning ecologist with excellent communication skills. You possess a degree in ecology or a related subject, along with significant relevant experience in a similar role. You have a deep understanding of applicable legislation, such as the Habitats Regulations and planning legislation and guidance. You are articulate, self-motivated, organized, and highly computer literate, particularly in using GIS and databases. What the Job Involves This position involves supporting the delivery of development projects that enhance the built and natural environment in Pembrokeshire. You will provide specialist advice and information on ecology related to the land use planning process within Planning, Highways, and Infrastructure, as well as for external stakeholders. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy. The post is likely to be part-time, with the number of hours determined by relevant experience and associated costs. This is a maternity cover position that is expected to conclude at the end of August 2024. Home-based working arrangements will be considered.
