The Role
To provide direct clinical care, which encompasses dietetic assessment, treatment and management of patients.
To act as a source of expertise on nutritional therapy to patients, general public, other health care professionals including medical staff and GPs.

What we'll need you to bring
* Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
* The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have
* Degree or post graduate diploma in Dietetics.
* State Registration with Health Care Professions Council.
* Evidence of further training/CPD in dietetic practice
* Experience of training other staff groups on nutrition.
* Evidence of involvement in projects/clinical effectiveness work.
* Evidence of working or clinical placement within an Acute hospital setting
* Interest and/or experience in student training.
* Good knowledge of up-to-date dietetic practice.
* Knowledge of audit, standard development and supporting change in practice with teams.
* Knowledge of specialist dietetic interventions relevant to post.
* Ability to prioritise caseload/work.
* Flexible. Motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking.
* Skills in group work.
* Networking skills
Contract type
Fixed Term or Secondment for 9 Months
Full time
37 hours
Please note this is a fixed term post for 9 Months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Nutrition & Dietetics within University Hospital Hairmyres.
