Key Accountabilities
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader at our depot in Dudley. The main purpose of the job is to:
1. Lead all aspects of a warehouse shift effectively while maintaining Safety, Quality, Service, Cost & Productivity performance to ensure all targets are met.
2. Ensure that the highest standards of Safety, Productivity & Discipline are maintained throughout the shift pattern.
3. Ensure the safe & efficient operation of an operational team.
4. Manage the shift within the framework of ASD’s policies & procedures, particularly relating to Health & Safety, training, time keeping, absence control, discipline & compliance. Refer any issues to Operations Manager promptly.
5. Ensure that the shift follows all applicable quality procedures.
6. Monitor efficiency of the shift & drive performance improvement.
7. Support the Ten Commandments activities, particularly maintaining housekeeping, 5S standards, ensuring TPM sessions take place, & the correct identification of product & storage locations.
8. Ensure customer requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are performed correctly & on time.
9. Monitor training requirements of the shift & ensure that expiry dates are observed.
10. Maintain the highest standards at all times on the shift.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure that the processes in the area conform with all EHS requirements & that performance is monitored & activities progressed to improve that performance.
2. Develop & maintain established standards relating to the activities & products. Monitor performance according to the agreed standards.
3. Liaise with supplying & customer processes, & Sales to ensure the highest levels of end customer service are achieved.
4. Ensure all preparations are made to enable the following shift to perform at the highest level.
5. Control costs tightly & minimize waste.
6. Achieve & exceed shift targets by resolving issues & maintaining close liaison with other shifts & Departments.
7. Drive continuous improvement activities to increase shift performance.
