Role Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 3 Rehab support worker to join our therapy team working in the bed-based rehabilitation unit at Sidmouth Community Hospital. You will work as part of a supportive, integrated multidisciplinary team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers and Nursing staff. Your role will be to carry out rehabilitation groups and individual programmes of intervention devised for patients by the qualified therapy staff with the aim of increasing patient independence, reducing deconditioning, and facilitating discharge from hospital.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have an interest in community rehabilitation, multi-disciplinary working, falls prevention and management of patients with a wide variety of short and long-term conditions and carry out treatment plans within your competencies or as delegated by registered staff.
Clinical supervision will be provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist/ or Nurse and we actively encourage peer support and offer learning and development opportunities.
Working Pattern: hours per week. Includes weekend working approximately 1 in 4 weeks.
