We are looking for thoughtful, compassionate and innovative highly specialist (Principal) Clinical Psychologist with expertise in health care provision for children and young people with Complex Presentations. This leader would be at the forefront of the NHS Children and Young People Gender Service (South West) within the governance structure of the service and Psychological Health Services as part of an Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to develop, deliver and evaluate specified services provided by a range of clinicians and health professionals. Provision will include clinical services, research and quality improvement including dissemination, and training and consultation to other partner services and agencies. The clinicians also work via Psychological Health Services to provide complex case input to other paediatric services.
Highly Specialist clinical assessment and intervention, and leadership, to ensure the systematic provision of a psychology service to the NHS Children and Young People’s Gender Service (South West)
Training, clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate, functioning as a lead specialist within the CYP Gender Service
Joint working, consultation, training and service development activities
Research relating to service delivery
Management and supervision of staff
